Who are we ?

Hello everyone!

         We are Senk, Ice, Jam and Knot (from right to left in the picture). We decided to write this part to introduce ourselves so that you guys get to know us more. So, who are we? Well, we are university students who are currently studying at Faculty of Arts, Chulalongkorn university, majoring in Language and Culture (BALAC). As we are taking Spanish as our minor, learning Spanish language and cultures has always been our passion.

         This semester, we are taking the class called Spanish Culture, which is the class in which we learn various aspects of Spanish cultures, including its food, music, art, history, film, etiquette, and more. As we are approaching the end of this semester, we have to create a project in which we can express our interest in a particular aspect of Spanish cultures. Guess what? We chose FOOD.

       Although Senk and Ice are not originally from Bangkok, we are all quite familiar with this diverse city thanks to our four years in Chulalongkorn University. However, despite the fact that our Spanish classes are about 6 hours a week, we have not yet had much chance to visit Spanish restaurants in Bangkok and learn about Spanish cuisine genuinely. Thus, we decided that we would like to do a project on Spanish cuisine in Bangkok by actually visiting Spanish restaurants around Bangkok and interviewing the chefs or restaurants' owners in order to learn more about their history and cuisine.

      During our information gathering, we had so much fun and learned so many incredible things about Spanish cultures. Not only the food that we have learned, but we also get to learn about various aspects of Spain such as its architectures, arts, and stories of each regions around Spain. This project broadens our point of views in a way that would be impossible to grasp if we did not do this project.
